Resolution to Honor Black History

 

The City of Muskegon Commission celebrate Black History Month. Commissioner German presented a resolution that was passed unanimously. The resolution honors the many contributions of black Americans to the development of the city and the United States. Following the passage of the resolution, there were speeches from Commissioner German, former Mayor Blanche Smith, and Judge Gregory Pittman. All of the speakers spoke about the importance of recognizing black history and the contributions of black Americans.
